Description:
Nearby to a small town Issyk in Issyk Gorge of Zailiysky Alatau, approximately in 70 km to the east of Almaty, was stretched out one of the most attractive lakes of a mountain ridge in Tien Shan.
The Lake Issyk is located at height of 1, 8 km above sea level. Water in lake even in July does not get warm above 10-12 degrees; therefore high-grade bathing is hardly possible.
In 1963 year a dam was destroyed , and the lake was blurred (1963). Now it is partially restored and continues to please tourists of indescribable beauty with landscapes and surrounding mountain landscape.
This is a wonderful place for recreation and picnics. After the excursion we will visit an ostrich’s farm, and also “Issyk barrows”.
